Lutgendorf SK et al. – Social attachment has a survival advantage for patients with ovarian cancer.
Methods- 168 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer were enrolled.
- Greater social attachment had a HR = 0.87 for death.
- The median survival time for patients with low social attachment was 3.35 y.
- 59% of the patients with high social attachment were alive at 4.7 y.
