Zhao YC et al. – This study demonstrates that primary breast tumors induce sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) lymphangiogenesis before metastasis occurs and that tumor–derived VEGF–C, but not VEGF–D, plays an important role in SLN lymphangiogenesis in breast cancer.
