Kim YK et al. – In consideration of its limitations for small lesions, intra–hepatic lesions, and brain lesions, 18F–FDG PET/CT would not be suitable for screening tool after liver transplant (LT). However, 18F–FDG PET/CT could provide additional information over conventional modalities and contribute to the clinical management of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) recurrence after LT, especially in patients with extra–hepatic recurrence.
