Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and other analgesic use and bladder cancer in northern New England
International Journal of Cancer, 07/11/2012
Baris D et al. – Significant positive trends in risk with increasing duration and cumulative dose of selective COX–2 inhibitors were observed. The results are consistent with those from previous studies linking use of nonsteroidal anti–inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), particularly ibuprofen, with reduced risk. The authors observed a previously unrecognized risk associated with use of COX–2 inhibitors, which merits further evaluation.
