Can the ”angle of progression” as measured in pregnant women before the onset of labor predict mode of delivery?
Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 05/18/2012
Levy R et al. – A narrow ”angle of progression” (AOP) (<95°) in non–laboring nulliparous women is associated with a high rate of CS. Multiparous women had a narrower AOP than nulliparous women before the onset of labor; however, in contrast to the significance of a narrow AOP in nulliparous women in predicting CS delivery, most multiparous women with such an angle will eventually deliver vaginally.
