Bhattacharya SM et al. – The comparative cross–sectional study found that women with polycystic ovary syndrome are at a significantly higher risk of depression compared with non–PCOS women. The study fails to find enough evidence to explain the high prevalence of depression among PCOS patients by the selected sociodemographic, clinical, and biochemical parameters.
