S.L. Gudmundsdottir, 10/07/09

We found that women with the highest levels of frequency or intensity of physical activity had increased risk of infertility. We did not, however, see a trend for increased risk of infertility for the submaximal levels of activity. Our results indicate that the possible detrimental effects of high intensity exercise are reversible and not permanent.
