Radiology Case Reports, 08/31/09
Walker EA - A 30 year old female presented post partum with pain in the coccyx region most severe nine week after the uneventful spontaneous vaginal delivery of her first child. Imaging with Computed Tomography obtained 36 days post delivery demonstrates bilateral sclerosis in the lower sacrum. Plain film radiographs may not demonstrate this finding. Both MRI and CT are sensitive for sacral stress fracture.
