Waters TP et al. - Women receiving weekly intramuscular 17alpha-hydroxyprogesterone caproate have more frequent abnormal glucose testing and gestational diabetes compared with unexposed controls. These results are consistent with published data regarding the effect of progesterone on insulin resistance.
