Parameshwar Prashanth G et al. – Acquired bone marrow failure can result after infections caused by viruses, exposure to toxins, or chemicals. Majority of acquired cases of marrow failure labeled as “idiopathic” are probably immune mediated through activated T–cells and cytokines.
