Farid AS et al. – The major goal of this review is to highlight the modulation of each of the paraoxonases (PONs) by infective (bacterial, viral and parasitic) agents, which may shed a light on the interaction between infectious diseases and PONs activities in order to effectively reduce the risk of developing atherosclerosis.
