Waterfield J – This article provides an overview of the main drugs used for the treatment of incontinence and nocturnal enuresis. There is particular reference to the prescribing issues associated with antimuscarinic drugs in relation to cautions, contraindications and side effects. The clinical guidelines for the treatment of nocturnal enuresis in children and the use of desmopressin are highlighted.
