Radiation Therapy After Lumpectomy For Breast Cancer Can Be Safely Reduced To 4 Weeks

Researchers found that radiation treatment for women who had a lumpectomy for early–stage breast cancer can be safely reduced to four weeks, instead of the usual six to seven weeks, by delivering a higher daily dose–greatly reducing the length of treatment time.
