Houde SC et al. – For nurses to assume a leadership role in synthesizing scientific evidence for evidence–based policy development and refinement, nursing education will need to assume a more active role in teaching systematic review methodology. This article presents an overview of resources for conducting systematic reviews of the literature and discusses the use of the systematic review as a tool for evidence–based policy.
