Lofgren C et al. - The CARdiac echo consultation on DISTAnce (CARDISTA) was evaluated in three primary healthcare centers in Sweden. The clinical focus of the evaluation was on heart failure. Using a mobile echocardiographic system, a remotely located sonographer performs the examination, which takes about 15 minutes for the cardiologists. Traditional in-person examinations take about 1.5 hours.
