Implementation and Effects of a Medication Pass Nutritional Supplement Program in a Long-Term Care Facility: A Pilot Study

Doll-Shankaruk M et al. - Findings indicated that most residents experienced weight gain and improved visceral protein status. Resident adherence to the program was 96%, and staff feedback was positive. The promising results of this pilot study suggest that a medication pass nutritional supplement program could help improve the nutritional status of long-term care residents, thereby resulting in improved quality of life.
