Pyogenic granuloma, also called septic granuloma or botryomycoma, is a lobular capillary hemangioma that mostly occurs on the skin but that also is seen on the mucosal surface of the oral cavity, especially the tongue and gingiva. A few cases have been reported in the gastrointestinal tract, mainly in the colon, but also in the esophagus and rarely the small intestine. Presentation in the gastrointestinal tract usually is with bleeding
