DNA polymorphisms and tissue cyclooxygenase-2 expression in oral lichen planus: a case-control study
Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, 08/17/2012
Abdel Hay RM et al. – The present evidence thus indicates that variation in the cyclooxygenase–2 (COX–2) gene is unlikely to be of relevance to the aetiology of oral lichen planus (OLP). As this is the first report concerning the COX–2 –765G>C gene polymorphism and the risk of OLP, additional studies with larger sample size will be required to confirm these findings.
