Garcia J et al. – Mertz Results highlight the collaborative nature of dysphagia management especially with the speech–language pathologist. Registered dietitians were knowledgeable about product selection but were less involved in other aspects of clinical practice such as instruction about their use. Standards in dysphagia practices and service delivery of thickened beverages remain a concern for the provision of quality nutrition care in clinical practice.
