Padwal RS – Meta–analysis showed that bariatric surgery led to weight loss and resolution or improvement of diabetes at >= 2 years. Patients having biliopancreatic diversion/duodenal switch surgery had the greatest weight loss and diabetes resolution compared with other types of surgery.
