Sassen EJ – Considering the richly documented benefits, one might assume that most nurses would hold very positive attitudes toward an electronic health record system in their practice; however, frequently, this is not the case. This article examines how nurses feel about the electronic medical record, their reasons for adopting or rejecting it, and what thoughtful change management strategies can be used to stimulate acceptance.
