Bergman H et al. - Digital imaging used in face-to-face dermatology is well understood and validated. The use of this technology for remote diagnosis has not been thoroughly evaluated for efficacy and reliability. Mild-to-moderate acne in 300 images (120 from patient-acquired images and 180 obtained in a clinic setting) was analyzed by two dermatologists-in-training using validated acne assessment measures.
