Blair PS - SIDS infants had a higher pooled prevalence of head covering than control infants. The adjusted odds ratio for SIDS death was 17. Head covering was associated with increased risk of SIDS (population attributable risk 27%, 95% CI 25 to 29). Head covering is associated with increased risk of sudden infant death syndrome.
