Potts K - There are two assays of CRP available with the most commonly-used assay used to detect a wide range of CRP levels in acute infection and inflammatory processes. A second assay is that of high-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) that has been studied in many diseases such as cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, hypertension and diabetes to name a few.
