Alexiou GA et al. – All patients improved after treatment. Dandy–Walker malformation is a developmental abnormality of the central nervous system associated with various brain and extracranial abnormalities. Surgical treatment remains controversial, whereas prognosis varies greatly according to the severity of syndrome and associated comorbidities.

Dandy Walker malformation constitute a rare developmental abnormality. Symptomatology involves developmental delay, macrocrania and signs of hydrocephalus. Surgical intervention may relieve the intracranial pressure. The patient's prognosis varies greatly. Timely diagnosis and treatment is of paramount importance.
