Labeling of disease–modifying agents might refer to slowing of disease progression, delay in reaching predefined disease milestones, or reduction in progression of a biomarker such as cerebral atrophy or ventricular enlargement on MRI. Prevention claims will depend heavily on biomarker outcomes.
