Synchronous meningioma and anaplastic large cell lymphoma
Neuropathology, 09/18/09
Colen CB et al. – The morphologic and immunohistochemical features were considered typical of anaplastic large T–cell lymphoma. The pathogenesis of this association may have been due to radiation–mediated breakdown of the blood–brain barrier with subsequent T–cell infiltration and proliferation. The authors advocate aggressive resection and long–term surveillance for individuals with metastasis, especially higher–grade neoplasms that receive radiotherapy.
