Stimulus-induced seizure in sick neonates—Novel observations with potential clinical implications
Epilepsia, 09/15/09
Takenouchi T et al. – Stimulus–evoked electrographic patterns have been reported in neonates with brain injury; however, these events appear to be more common than previously thought, especially with the abundance of subclinical seizures observed in these patients. These observations stress the usefulness of vEEG monitoring and importance of care to avoid unnecessary stimuli in at–risk neonates.
