Alonso A et al. – In this prospective study, smoking, hypertension, and diabetes were strongly associated with subsequent risk of hospitalization with dementia, particularly in middle aged individuals. The results emphasize the importance of early lifestyle modification and risk factor treatment to prevent dementia.
