Weiss KJ et al. – This report describes a 1–month–old female with bacteremia and meningitis complicated by an infected cephalohematoma that resulted from hematogenous seeding. This report serves as a reminder that, although occurring rarely, inflammation overlying a cephalohematoma in an infant with bacteremia can indicate focal infection that requires incision and drainage for resolution.
