Analysis of genetic variants of phosphodiesterase 11A (PDE11A) in acromegalic patients
European Journal of Endocrinology, 08/12/09
Lania A et al. – The study first demonstrated the presence of PDE11A variants in a subset of acromegalic patients, that was only slightly more frequent than in controls. The normal expression of PDE11A in the majority of tumor tissues together with the lack of significant clinical phenotype suggest that these variants might only marginally contribute to the development of somatotropinomas.
