Individual, seizure-related, and psychosocial predictors of depressive symptoms among people with epilepsy over six months

Methods- Study of epilepsy pts for the relationship between demographic characteristics, seizure-related factors, and psychosocial factors and depressive symptoms over 6 mo
- Completion of 3 surveys at 3-mo intervals for 319 adult epilepsy pts
- Multiple linear regression with baseline variables to predict depressive symptoms at baseline and at 3 and 6 mo
- Predictors of depressive symptoms at all 3 time points: employment status, social support, and stigma
- Other predictors in 1 or 2 time points: self-management, financial strain, and activity restriction due to seizures
