Gee P et al. – Dimethylamylamine (DMAA) was a forgotten pharmaceutical that was patented in 1944 as a nasal decongestant. DMAA has recently gained popularity as a dietary supplement, with claims of effectiveness as an athletic performance enhancer and weight loss aid. It is also sold as a recreational stimulant drug. DMAA is a sympathomimetic and potent pressor agent.
