Grzelak T et al. – The results obtained here show that protamine sulfate and methylglyoxal do not affect, but that glyoxal modifies, the diffusive permeability of peritoneum in vitro. The causes of these effects are currently unknown, but may be observed in vivo during PD and can change the efficiency of renal replacement therapy.
