Effect of Low Doses of Atorvastatin on the Urinary Peptide Profile of Kidney Transplant Patients
Transplantation Proceedings, 09/02/09
Perez V et al. – The results showed that treatment with atorvastatin produced a significant reduction in lipid profile, but did not modify renal function (creatinine clearance), proteinuria, or CRP. The proteomic study showed that statin treatment did not produce significant changes in the urinary peptidome, although there was a tendency for some peptides to increase or decrease after the treatment.
