Okamura K et al. - In a study to assess the effect of survivin gene expression on proliferation of renal cancer (RCC) cells, and to examine the association of survivin and its spliced isoform gene expression levels with clinical stage of RCC, the gene expression of survivin-2α was demonstrated in RCC cells, and it was also shown that survivin and its spliced isoforms had associations with renal cancer cell proliferation and distant metastases.
