Tiong HY et al. - Laparoscopic nephrectomy is feasible but challenging in patients with ADPKD. The technical difficulties due to the large kidney size can be made manageable with cyst aspiration. However, steps should be taken during cyst aspiration to minimise spillage and potential infective complications. En bloc extraction through a pfannensteil incision is possible with a laparoscopic technique to provide a cosmetic scar with low morbidity.
