Rangel EB et al. - In SPKT, pancreas allograft function was seriously affected by kidney retransplantation. Oral glucose tolerance tests performed before kidney retransplantation were helpful to assess beta-cell function and suggest prescription of lower steroid doses to decrease the pancreas allograft dysfunction.
