Nguyen MK et al. - Recent new insights into the determinants of the plasma water sodium concentration ([Na+]pw) have played an important role in advancing the understanding of the pathogenesis and treatment of the dysnatremias. The role of quantitative analysis in the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to the dysnatremias is discussed.
