Non immunological therapy in nephropathies leading to chronic kidney disease and post transplant CKD
Portuguese Journal of Nephrology and Hypertension, 04/10/09
Amore A et al. - The studies suggest a different therapeutic approach to proteinuric patients with nephropathies with different pathogenesis. In those with diabetesrelated CKD, studies such as RENAAL and INDT have produced evidence that ibersartan has a renoprotective effect due to the RAS system blockade, with a significant reduction of sclerotic evolution rate. Results were not confirmed by the DETAIL study, though.
