Renal Toxicity following Zoledronic Acid Reversed with Ibandronate in a Prostate Cancer Patient with Bone Metastases

Joensuu TK - Bisphosphonates are a standard treatment for metastatic bone disease, although agents vary in their potential for renal toxicity. This case report describes the reversal of zoledronic acid-induced renal toxicity by switching treatment to ibandronate in a patient with hormone-refractory prostate cancer and bone metastases.
