Anesthetic Concerns in Patients Presenting with Renal Failure

It is imperative that the anesthesiologist understands the ramifications of renal failure and adjusts the anesthetic plan accordingly. Hemodynamic monitoring and fluid management can be challenging in this patient population. Various metabolic abnormalities can ensue that the anesthesiologist must be able to manage in the acute setting of the operating room.
