Every year, the Office of Inspector General releases a work plan that outlines areas targeted for federal fraud and abuse investigations in the coming year. Private payors often queue up their own anti–fraud priorities based on this document. The 2010 OIG Work Plan rehashes many of the chronic problems in coding and reimbursement, but adds a few new twists to its compliance agenda.
