Hoffmann R – Thyroidectomy is one of the possible therapeutic options in Graves' disease as are antithyroid drugs and 131radioiodine. Emerging data reveal an advantage of total thyroidal ablation as the method of choice in patients with impending or overt Graves' orbitopathy.
