Davies C - Who’s it for? Any qualified doctor with an interest or career in tropical and infectious diseases. It is indispensable for those who want to practise in resource poor settings, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. It is a full time three month course. There is a strong lecture component with world authorities speaking on a huge range of topics covering all the tropical diseases in depth. There are about three days of lectures a week. The lectures are extremely interactive, relaxed, and above all amazing in quality and content. The course also covers epidemiology, public health, and preventive medicine. One day a week is allocated to practical work in the laboratory.
