Reilly MM - The hereditary neuropathies are clinically and genetically heterogeneous. Although the area is complex and the number of causative genes is increasing rapidly, algorithms to guide genetic testing for the more common AD disorders and careful phenotyping for the rare AR disorders should help diagnosis. Neurophysiological testing remains crucial in aiding diagnosis.
