Spinal anesthesia for a cesarean delivery in a woman with type-2M von Willebrand disease: case report and mini-review

Cata JP et al. - A 38-year-old multiparous woman who presented at 36 weeks’ of gestation with spontaneous rupture of membranes for urgent cesarean delivery is reported. Preoperative coagulation tests were normal except for prolonged platelet adhesion and aggregation tests. The cesarean delivery was performed under spinal anesthesia with hyperbaric bupivacaine, fentanyl and morphine sulfate.
