This study demonstrates that home exercise with the combined use of these expiratory and inspiratory devices leads to a significant improvement of maximal expiratory and inspiratory pressures as well as of dyspnea grade. Indeed, the study shows that combined expiratory and inspiratory muscle training is actually useful to provide clinical benefits in patients with COPD.
