Medical electives for international health

Banerjee A et al. - Globalisation has not reduced health inequities between developed and developing countries. The global shortage of health workers is a threat to human health and security. There are inadequate data and guidelines on medical student electives. Coordinated programmes for students taking medical electives may be a new source of health workers in developing countries.
