Zerzan JT et al. - Mentoring is an evolving relationship that requires time and attention to develop and includes successes and challenges. This article outlines the strategy, managing up, which may be helpful to improve mentoring relationships but that has not yet been empirically tested in academic medicine. Nevertheless, following these tips is likely to improve communication and the experience of both mentor and mentee.
